Therefore, rents for older buildings (built before 1953) that are bound by different categories for longer leases (up to 1 year and more) under tenancy laws are not bound for contracts of up to 6 months leases. Therefore, rental fees can be more flexible.
Essentially, apartment houses built after 1953 are not bound by the so-called Kategoriezins (rent categories) no matter what the length of the contract is.
